Maybelline Baby Lips - Smoothing Cherry

Guess what?! Something wonderful happened today! I got a replacement Maybelline Baby Lips lipbalm in Anti-oxident Berry (replacing the one that went through the washing machine!) annnddddd....
a cherry one too! I am so happy right now.

My lovely mother bought it for me because she was so sick of hearing my whining. Thankyou mother!

Of course, I have already written a review on my berry one (if you haven't read it, click here) so I won't go into details, but I must mention that I love it so much and give it 10 out of 10!

Moving on to the cherry one...
It was a little bit disappointing, because I loved my other two so much, and this one wasn't as good. Saying that, it was still so worth it, just not AMAZING.

The smell is no where near as good as the others, in fact, I don't think it smells at all like cherry. It's this really weird smell, that isn't pleasant but not awful either. It is as equally as moisturising as the others, it's just the smell that isn't very nice.

The colours aren't as good either, in my opinion. The green and peach colours don't look nearly as effective as the purple and orange and the pink and blue. Oh well...

I'm going to give this one 9 out of 10 (a mark taken off for the smell!)
*One thing crossed off of my wishlist (already!!!), how exciting!

My Baby lips lipbalms all together! The Cherry one is actually greener,
and looks very different to the Berry one.

Order: Berry, Cherry, Orange

Revlon Line Stylist eyeliner Bronze gleam

My Mum got this in some makeup package somewhere, and she didn't want it so she sent it over to me.

I'm not the most experienced person when it comes to eyeliner so I don't really have much to compare it to, however I'm pretty sure this eyeliner is no good.

First of all, I had no trouble drawing on my hand, but when it came to my eyes, no matter how hard I pressed or how tight I pulled my skin back, it just wouldn't draw a line. Apart from the annoying factor, it was just really painful!

It was a great bronze, sparkly kind of colour that really complimented my green eyes, however I just couldn't get it to work for me. I tried over and over again, but no amount of time and effort could get it to work.

It was incredibly thin which was good because it meant you could draw a thin line (at least, on the back your hand, anyway!) It meant that you could layer it if you wanted a thicker line, and it was more precise.

It was very dry and hard, but I did like the way it twisted up. If only it worked I think it would have been perfect!

Unfortunately I am going to have to give this product 1 out of 10. So frustrating...

Evoke - Flirtalicious

I love this body spray. I really don't need to say anymore, but I will just for fun.

This was a body spray that I reveived for Christmas. Amongst all the hustle and bustle and excitement on the day, I forgot about it until a week or so later. *Note to self - Why does that ALWAYS happen with all my best products?!*

It smells like flowers and lollies, and even though that is my natural love in regards to scents, I have receivd many compliments about my 'perfume' while wearing this, and 90% of people are shocked to find out that it is a cheap body spray that is way less popular than Impulse!

Apart from the fact that it smells so good, I found that it stayed on for longer than my Impulse sprays and lingered around the place wherever I wore it. Awesome!

I'm not sure if I like the can or not - I think it's the woman that puts me off - a bird's silhouette or something would have been a little more...tasteful.

I'm not keen on the name either...it really doesn't suit the scent.

What it smells like to me: Lollies, Flowers and the transition from Spring to Summer (if Spring mashed with Summer had a smell, this would be it!)
Where I would wear it to: A picnic amongst the flowers, the botanic gardens
Who would wear it: Someone graceful who wears straw hats and floaty maxi dresses, someone nature loving
Season and time to wear it: Spring during the day

I give this product 9 out of 10.

Avon Colour Trend - 3 in 1 colour stick, Heartfelt

I bought this product because it was on special and it was really, really cheap. I bought it in the colour heartfelt as it looked lovely in the picture. I was less than impressed with the colour when it arrived. It did not look anything like the picture. It wasn't hideous, but it was so not what I was expecting. After having a massive complain to everyone who was listening, I came to the realisation that it actually wasn't too bad. In fact, I really liked the colour! Maybe not for my lips, but I loved it for my eyes.

Yes, the good this about this colour stick, is that (as the name suggests) you can use it for three things - lips, eyes and cheeks. I personally wouldn't use it on my lips as I don't like the colour and I found it really drying, nor would I use it on my cheeks because it just doesn't look right, however as an eyeshadow it looks really, really good! The pinkish/brown kind of colour compliments my green eyes.

I'm glad I bought it even though it turned out completely different to what I had expected!

I give this product 7 out of 10 (as an eyeshadow!)

Wishlist!

I am a list-making kind of person. I love them, so it is no surprises that I have a little (okay, maybe big) list of my makeup/beauty wishes. I know it will be an impossibly long time before I even get one of these things on my list, but it's still fun to dream. Right?

1) Maybelline dream mousse blush
I have heard so many wonderful things about this blush. For someone like me who is concerned about looking like a clown, I think it would be very useful and easy to use.

2) Maybelline Baby Lips - Cherry
Okay, I know I already have the Babylips lipbalms in two other flavours, but man they are magnificent. I want the the cherry flavour so badly! I also need to get a new one in Berry Anti oxidant because my other one got smushed all through my pocket after going through the washing machine. I nearly cried!

3) Maybelline Shine Sensational lipgloss - Glamorous Guava
As soon as they came out, I wanted one. Then someone told me they were terrible. That put me off, but the other day my friend was raving about it. Oh, I can't decide!

3) The Body Shop Strawberry body butter
Every time I walk past this shop, I go in and have a sniff of their body butters. My heart is set on the strawberry one - I have given so many hints that I think I might be getting this one for Christmas! (I know it's a long way away but it'll come in good time!)

4) Clinique Chubby sticks - Woppin' Watermelon
Apart from the fact that they are ridiculously expensive ($35 for a lipstick/gloss!!!) I have heard so many good things about these and they just look so fun to play with! A problem is that I haven't seen them ANYWHERE! Oh how I want one of these!

5) BYS Nail polish - Glam glitter, Silver moon
I think this would be an awesome polish over the top of any colour, and it looks like so much fun to have a play around with! Why haven't I got around to getting this earlier?!

6) BYS Scented Nail Polish - Summer fruit or Roses
First of all, scented nail polish sounds so cool. I really want a pastel peachy pink colour, so I think these would be perfect. I like the colour of 'Roses', but want the scent of 'Summer fruit.' A hard decision!

7) An Aqua coloured nail polish
I haven't actually found one that I have fallen in love with. I am fussy because blues and greens don't usually work on me, but I would love to try one out. I expect I will end up with one from the Ulta brand (even though they are so cheap, they are good!)

8) A white nail polish
Is that seriously dodgy that I want white nail polish? I don't even know why I want it...I expect it will end up looking like I have coloured my nails in with liquid paper...oh dear.

9) A good nude lipstick
I don't have a nude lipstick that I am fully impressed with. It has to look perfect or else it totally ruins everything. Still looking for a good nude lippie!

10) A coral lipstick
I have always stuck to pinks when it comes to lipsticks, balms and glosses but I want to branch out and go for a coral. I love the reviews of them I have seen on everyones blogs, so jealous!

11) Revlon Vinyl Lipgloss - Not sure what shade
I am kind of hesitant about these, as I haven't really researched these much, but there is a lot of hype about them and I think they would be interesting to try out!

12) Rimmel London 60 second nail polish - Purple Reign, Coral crush
I bought the coralicious colour and loved it. The 60 second drying time is amazing! I have got to get some more!

13) The body shop 'Born Lippy' - Raspberry/strawberry/pink guava/watermelon
I haven't actually gone and had a play around with the testers - I'm not sure which flavour I want (whatever smells best I think!)

14) Marc Jacobs perfume - Daisy
I think I have fallen in love with this mainly because of the bottle. Don't get me wrong - the scent is also gorgeous, but the bottle itself is just so beautiful.

15) EOS Lip sphere - Summer fruit/strawberry sorbet/honeysuckle honeydew
They don't sell these in Australia (I saw a review on someone else's blog) but it doesn't stop me from wanting one...

I would be happy getting only one of these things before I die! In fact, I would be happy not getting anything, just dreaming about it....Ahhh!
I would LOVE to hear what you think about these products and whether they are worth it or not and any recommendations you have. I would also love to hear about what's on your wishlist!

Loreal Paris Made for me intense - Pink Fever

I have very red lips, so whenever I wear lipstick it never ever looks the same as it did in the tube. I also get sick of having red lips and I am naturally draw to pale pinks. I have been searching for the ultimate pink coloured lipstick for so long now that I have kind of given up.

I was at a charity event where they had the silent auctions. I wasn't all that keen on anything, so I ended up bidding 4 dollars on a lipstick lying on the table. I didn't check to see what colour it was or anything, because I knew someone would outbid me anyway. Well, at the end of the night it turned out I had won the lipstick. I paid for it and left and dumped it on my dressing table at home. The next day I opened it to see what colour it was, and I couldn't believe my eyes. Was this the lipstick that I had been searching for forever?

Yes it was. I almost cried with joy. This was the one!

It was the perfect colour, even on my red lips. Yep, a perfect match - it was made for me. Ironic really, because that is exactly what the line is called - Loreal Paris, Made for me Intense!

It's so creamy and perfect. I apply a coat, blot and then apply another, however one coat looks absolutely fine. It stays on for a long time and has a slight sparkle to it. It can be a little drying so I do apply lipbalm beforehand. It has a smell to it, but I really can't describe it - I like it though.

It also works as a nice blush for me, and doesn't feel too sticky and disgusting. I love this lipstick so much, it is definately a favourite of mine. The only thing I would change would be taking out the sparkle.

I give it 9 out of 10.

I would love to hear about your perfect lipstick and whether or not you have found it yet!

Rimmel London 60 Second Nail polish - 430 Coralicious

I got this nail polish in a little 8ml bottle in such a rush! I was racing through the shop in a rush to get a few things before running to a friend's house, and I spotted this little gem on sale for $4. Most of my nail polishes are between 12 and 18ml, so this one really is mini, and I wouldn't spend more than $4 because of the amount you get, but it as definitely worth it!

I chose the colour Coralicious, which might I add, is loud and bright and very out there and in your face! It looks red/orange/pink in the bottle, but it comes out as more of a pink kind of colour on my nail.

It claimed to have an 'express brush' that allowed you to apply it onto your nail in one second. It wasn't lying! Its flat brush was a feature that I really liked and it really did only take me one second to apply it to each nail.

I was skeptical that it was actually going to dry in 60 seconds, but much to my disbelief, it was true! I love this so much, because I am very impatient when it comes to nail polish and I barely wait longer than two minutes for my polish to dry. This results in the worst manicures you will ever see! This 60 second nail polish will be the answer to all my problems!

The '1 second' claim

The colour was really good, and I only needed one coat to make my nail opaque (which was fortunate because there obviously wasn't much of the product - 8ml)

I can't comment on whether it chips or not, because I only wore it for two days, however while I was wearing it it didn't chip. I am currently wearing it on my toes and it is lasting a long time - then again, nail polish always does on your toes!

Another thing I like about it, is that it comes of so easily with nail polish remover - there is nothing worse than sitting there for hours trying to get your nail polish off!

I give this polish 9 out of 10.

Wow! That photos makes me look incredibly dark and wrinkly!
The colour in real life is a little pinker.

* I have updated my 'Who am I' page with some photos of my favourite beauty products. Some of them I have reviewed, and others I am currently reviewing!*

Revlon Colourstay Mineral Bronzer - Deep Bronze

I was recommended this product by a friend. At first glance, I was very skeptical, in fact, so skeptical I refused to buy it (it seemed a little pricey for the amount of product you got). Disgusted by my refusal, my friend actually bought it for me. After trying it out, I paid her back. It's not bad.

First of all, it seems really small. The size of the actual bronzer is a tiny bit bigger than a 50 cent piece. Even worse than that though, is the brush. What a joke! Seriously, what is the point of putting it in there?! It's not like you can actually use it!

I was afraid of looking dirty and muddy, because my friend bought it for me in the deepest colour, and my skin is quite fair. I found that the colour barely showed up! I layered heaps of it on and it still was super subtle. It was a bit of a waste because you just couldn't see it. I required so much product that I felt as though I had used half of it up in one shot!  It's supposed to stay on for up to sixteen hours, but I really don't think that it did.
I found the packaging quite sturdy, which is interesting because I know others found it flimsy and that it broke within a few uses. I didn't like how it spread all over everything when you used a bigger brush. There was heaps of fallout all over everything which was frustrating. It would have been better if it was set in a tub/pot kind of container.
If I rubbed my finger directly onto it, it felt kind of dry and gritty and horrible, however when I wore it on my face it was fine.
All up I would give this product 6 out of 10.

Great Barrier Island Bee Co. - Manuka honey soothing lipbalm

Whilst I am a huge fan of lipbalms and liglosses, I have never really taken to the lipbalms in a pot. I think it's because you have to get your fingers all greasy, and by shoving your dirty little fingers into the pot, the lipbalm inside becomes grotty. It's just a bit unhygienic and inconvenient. Lipbalms in a stick are just so much easier!

My Mum was actually given this as a present, and she (being a true hater of lipbalms in a pot) gave it to me (thanks Mum!). The first thing that I noticed was that the lid was slightly cracked, and she hadn't even used it. It has only gotten worse since I have been using it, which is annoying because it just gets worse every time and makes it really hard to screw onto the pot.

It has no fragrance which is disappointing - I would have loved to have a honey smelling one, or even vanilla.

The balm itself is very dry and hard, which made it difficult to get out of the pot onto my finger. I rubbed my finger into it for ages and only a tiny amount of balm came out. I put it on my lips but it really didn't feel as though I had any on. I had to repeat this process three times until it actually felt as though I had lipbalm on. Once I did, I found that it was moisturising, non greasy and had a lovely sheen to it.

Once it absorbed into my lips it made them feel really dry, so I had to go through the tedious process of reapplying. Whilst it was on my lips it felt nice!

I know this lipbalm was quite expensive, but I think it was a bit of a waste because it really isn't very good. Some of the cheaper ones I have come across have been so much better! The pot isn't really something I like either.

I give this product 5 out of 10.

Innoxa Perfect Lip Gloss - Rose Petal

I had only ever had one other Innoxa product (their foundation) and I was really impressed, and so I decided to give their lip products a go too.

The Innoxa perfect lipgloss in Rose Petal is a pale pinky colour mixed with an earthy kind of colour, making it a fairly natural shade. It has a slanted tip applicator so it is very easy to apply, but it has this funny plastic kind of smell that is a little off putting. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be some particular smell, but it really wasn't nice.

I found that the lipgloss leaked a little bit, so I wasn't keen on taking it around with me in my bag because I was afraid it was going to leak onto everything.

It was thick and a bit sticky, but I didn't find it to be too much of a problem. It was very shiny and glossy and looked lovely. I had to put two coats on to get any hint of the colour, but when doing that I found that there was too much on my lips. I would just stick to the one coat for comfort and appearance purposes, unless you like the look of lipgloss smeared across your chin after it has slipped off your lips (personally, it's not my favourite look of all time)!

It does claim to have high shine, plump, moisturise and protect your lips. I think I am going to have to agree in that it does seem to be plumping - I think it is because it is so glossy - and moisturising. It's not overly long lasting, but it's not too bad. It makes your lips look lovely and smooth, almost glassy in appearance.

It's the kind of lipgloss that I would not be afraid to wear everyday, because whilst it is very glossy, the colour isn't too outrageous.

It's a shame that a) it leaks and b) it smells so funny, because otherwise I would have really liked this product. I still like it, but I would go for some other lipglosses over this one.

I give this product 7 out of 10.

Lucas Papaw Ointment

I think it is safe to say that every Australian female over the age of 12 has Lucas Papaw ointment. Okay, maybe not every female, but almost everyone that I  know has the stuff. Every person who had come across this product that I talked to had praised it so highly and had said that they were brought up on this stuff, that it saved their life, blah blah blah. Of course I was keen to try it...

I bought it for 10 bucks in a chemist...only to find that other places were chucking it out for 5! So, the first thing I shall say, is get it for a good price!

Moving on...yes, it is very good, however I don't think it's effective for anything other than using it on your lips. It claims to fix everything - burns, boils, chafing, cuts, cracked skin, splinters, gravel rash, open wounds, insect bits and nappy rash!  Yep, there is nothing this magic product can't fix (according to the tube). Well, I applied to to insect bites, a paper cut and dry skin and I didn't find that it was all that great. It did help my dry skin, I must admit, however I needed copious amounts to do the job (and I like to use these kind of products sparingly).  It didn't do anything to my insect bites, and as for the paper cut, I think it made it worse!

I had read some online reviews where people were saying it was just over priced Vaseline. I have never, ever tried Vaseline (much to my friends' disbelief and disgust!) so I really can't respond to that.

It was good for my lips, and I would buy it solely to have it for my lips. It was bit thick, until I realised I was applying way too much. Get the right amount and it works really well! It also lasts a long time if you use the correct amount. I also know that there are various sizes that it can come in - most people have it in the 'handbag friendly size' (a tube) but I know there are different size tubs.

It makes your lips feel smooth and soft, and is quite glossy which is nice, yet still a natural kind of glossy that is appropriate for wearing everywhere.

I did like this product, I really did, I just think it was a bit of a let down considering all the hype surrounding it, and it was not nearly as good as it claimed to be on the tube.

I would give it 7 out of 10.

Rubi Nail Polish - Purple Haze

As usual the camera doesn't do the polish justice -
the colour is more of a lighter, pastel purple

At first this nail polish looked like a bit of a try-hard OPI. I got it on special for two dollars (it was generally sold at five) so I wasn't really expecting much from it. It was alright, but I still like my Ulta nail polishes better, which is fortunate because they are cheaper. (Click here and here for my Ulta reviews)

The consistency is quite thin, and I found that I needed about two or three coats in order for it to be even and opaque. I really liked the colour and would definitely recommend it to a friend, but I'm not sure that I would recommend the actual brand of nail polish. It was kind of streaky for the first one or two layers and required a patient, steady hand with application, but if you gave it time, by the third layer it looked fine.

The smell is very strong, but in my opinion pretty much every nail polish has a very strong smell. It doesn't chip very easily, and when I wore it on my toes I found that it lasted quite a long time. On my fingernails I wore a clear top coat with it, so I'm not sure how long it does last by itself. It's not all that quick-drying which was a bit annoying (mainly because I am super impatient!)

All up it isn't the best quality nail polish I have ever come across, but if you get it on special like I did, and you are a fan of the colour, it's worth it.

I would give this product 6 out of 10.

Yes to Carrots Lip balms

Sometimes I feel that the English language does not have enough words to show how I feel. I put it down to the fact that I am a person whose emotions are extreme, I either love it or I hate it. Well, that's not entirely true, but you get what I mean. Anyway, to say I love these lipbalms is the understatement of the century. I adore them.

I bought four 'Yes to Carrots Lipbalms' on special for $1.50 and I absolutely love them all. I bought them in the flavours Citrus, Berry, Melon and Carrot. They are all wonderful.

In order from my favourite to least favourite, is Berry, Melon, Citrus and Carrot.

'So why are they so good?' you are probably asking. Well, where do I begin.

First of all, they all smell truly amazing...except for the carrot one. That one smells horrible. I hate to say it, but it is not pleasant at all. The texture is not too thick, not too thin, and my it feels lovely on your lips. It give your lips a lovely shine, not as good as lipgloss of course, but good for a lipbalm I think. They do help in repairing cracked lips, and prevent them from cracking further. The one problem that I did have, was the citrus one was very grainy. I get the feeling that I may have just had a bit of bad luck and picked out the dodgy one, but who knows.

For all of you who worry about organic ingredients, I am proud to say these are 95% organic! As promised on the packing, they hydrate, condition and smooth. Oh, did I mention that they are not tested on animals either? Everybody wins!

I heard there were other products besides lipbalms in the 'Yes to Carrots' brand. I will definitely be looking out for them!

I give this product 9 out of 10 (I unfortunately had to take one off for the smell of the carrot one and the grainy texture of the citrus one)

Maybelline Eyeshadow Palette - Autumn Spirit

I was lucky to be given this eyeshadow palette from a friend, and I am so glad that she gave it to me because I fell in love with it and use it almost every day.

Firstly, I got the palette Autumn Spirit which is brilliant. The colours match my skin tone perfectly and definitely compliment my eyes. I am not brave enough to go for loud, bright eyeshadow colours and I love the natural look, so these colours suited me perfectly!

On the back of the palette it has a diagram of where you should apply the shadow - do not follow their rules! I found that when I tried applying it as they said so, it just looked like a ridiculous mess. I also found that I was better off using one or two colours, rather than all four as it looked more polished and professional.

The shadows are all very pigmented and stayed on my eyes all day. They are very shimmery, in fact, the only thing I would change about them would be making them just that little bit less sparkly in order to make them more natural and wearable. Saying that, I was still comfortable wearing for everyday purposes. I wouldn't say that the colours are all that different from one another when applied to my eyelid, but it may have just been my skin tone, or the fact that I don't really apply all that much.

I will definitely be looking out for more of these palettes in different colours.

I give this product 8 out of 10.

Amazing Face - Zoe Foster

This post is a bit of a special one, because it is my first beauty book review!
I stumbled across this when I was reading a magazine - in tiny print down the bottom of the beauty page was a mention of 'an awesome beauty book full of things every girl needs to know.' Hmmm, I thought, I'm a girl and I like awesome beauty books. I came to the conclusion that this sounded like the book for me!

Months passed and I forgot about it, until a friend recommended it to me. Fate? I think so! Thanks to my local library, Amazing face is currently in my room full of some amazing secrets for my brain to soak up as much as possible!

I'm going to go through this book step by step, to give you a good taste of what it's all about. I shall begin with the front cover (and back cover just to make life easier for me!)

I love the front cover  - who wouldn't?! It's just great. It's fun and it's beauty related (kind of) and it reminds me of being in primary school and doing finger painting! Fun!
I like the design on the back and I like the blurb, however I do think it could have been much better.

Open the book up and you are greeting with pages so full of happiness and joy - they're bursting with energy! Most of the pages are AMAZING, however some just make me want to cry (page 122, uh, yuck!). Still, Zoe's hilarious writing style makes up for every little bad bit, and I spent so much time giggling at all the names she came up with - my favourites including, 'you loved up little lamington' and 'you naughty little porcupine!' I also loved her quotes, like, 'I like that brand of topsy turvy, lateral thinking. That's why I prefer to pour milk into the milo tin, instead of the more common Milo-into-milk technique,' 'One question I am asked a lot is "Which do you prefer: Peaches or crocodiles?"'and 'Are you crazy like a coconut?' Hilarious!

Some crazy things I learned:
- A gloss that matches the exact colour of your gums will be the most flattering shade of 'nude' for your lips
- To find the shape of your face, pull your hair back and trace the outline of your face, with a lipstick, on the mirror (okay....)
- Sleeping on a silk pillow prevents you from getting wrinkles (not sure how much I believe this one...)

Some new (and great) ideas:
- Keep roseship oil/rosewater mist handy when you need to freshen up, it works wonders!
- Use a translucent powder to keep your makeup on your face for the whole day!
- If you use bronzer and blush together (it takes skill) you can make it look half decent (I must admit, I cannot do it)

Stuff I am proud to say I already knew/do:
- Applying white eyeliner/shadow in the corner of your eyes open them up and make you look instantly awake - as though you've had a full nights sleep when really you've only been asleep two hours!
- Flaky/Dry skin does not necessarily mean you have to get out the heavy moisturiser - it may just mean your skin needs a drink of water
-Exfoliation is important, but not when you end up ripping the skin off your face instead of removing dead skin cells
-Sunscreen is the most important thing when it comes to skin protection. Wear it everyday, no questions asked!

Stuff of no relevance to me whatsoever:
- Everything about people over the age of 30
- Stuff about deep wrinkles
- The four pages about covering a cold sore (yuck)

And totally random stuff I learnt:
- Don't eat chicken that has been out of the fridge for twelve hours

I won't tell you any more because you should go out and get this book for yourself!
I really liked this book - even if it was a little crazy at times! I would give it 8 out of 10.

* I won't be posting for about 5 days, so this is a special post!

Avon Naturals - Strawberry and Cream

Ahhh, strawberries and cream. Yum! Yes, whilst this may not be one of the 'top of the line,' most popular, 'coolest' of lipbalms, it is fairly good.

It smells like strawberries and cream (what a surprise!) and has a similar taste. It can feel a little greasy at times and may take a while to 'sink in', but it's not too bad. It's not too thick and is easily applied. It has no tint or colour to it and is good for purely moisture purposes.

I've been using this lipbalm for a long time now, and I'm pretty pleased with it, especially considering the price.

The packaging isn't all that appealing, but I suppose it doesn't matter all that much.

It's a good product...I might have to look out for more in the 'Avon Naturals' range!

I give this product 8 out of 10.

Innoxa Foundation

I was on holidays and I hadn't packed any makeup because I wasn't planning on doing much...until we bumped into family friends and decided to go out to dinner at this posh restaurant. Great. Well, I made my way up to the chemist in the hope that they would have some cheap (but quality) makeup I could get. I was in luck. Up on the counter was a basket marked 1.50. Yes, I know, I know, you have to be careful about bargain bins with prices so low, but seriously, it was amazing. There were no smushed fluro green lipsticks, nor were there busted yellow eyeliners, it was incredible. I ended up buying 3 lipbalms, 2 lipglosses and 2 foundations. Yes, I may or may not have gone a little crazy!

Anyway, back to the Innoxa foundation. As I mentioned, I got two - Buttermilk and Sandstone. They are the best foundations I have ever had. *Note that I haven't really had all that many foundations before!* The Buttermilk matches my skin perfectly in winter, and the Sandstone in summer, and boy do I get some compliments on my skin!

They're in these little frosted glass bottles and are a great size. I looked them up on the Internet and couldn't find them, so I'm using them incredibly sparingly and treasuring them. I do not want to run out! I wonder how much they are supposed to cost...I would pay a lot for them!

They soak right and in feel great. They don't look cakey but give you a nice, smooth glow that evens out the skin tone. Beautiful!

I give them 10 out of 10!

SoftLips Lip protectant - Orange Sunrise

First of all I am very pleased with the name of this lipbalm. Maybe it's because of my fascination with all things sun related (He-llo Summer!) but whatever it is, I really am fond of the name 'Orange Sunrise.'

Getting past all that, what a cute little lipbalm this is! It's unusually skinny (a little smaller than the thickness of a pencil) and I'm not sure if I like this or not. It means that it takes me longer to apply it, but it is definately more accurate, that's for sure. Another good thing is that it fits in the tight spaces in your bag. Hmmm, I think I prefer normal lipbalms still...

It has a menthol kind of smell, with a hint of orange. Yeah, I would have prefferred it to just be an orange smell, but it's not up to me, is it?!

True to its name it did allow me to be the proud owner of a pair or softlips and I was rather impressed. It soaks in right away and kept my lips smooth and supple. I liked it best when I was wearing it under a gloss, and by itself it didn't really do much in the looks department - just the feel department.

I did need to reapply it several times throughout the day, but it was worth it.

A very good lipbalm I must say, at an impressive price.

I give this product 8 out of 10.

Impulse - London

Normally I wouldn't really be drawn to this kind of scent, however I quite like it and it is a nice change my usual scents.

It is described as having a 'blend of sandalwood, vanilla and grapefruit scents,' however I think it smells a bit like the smell at my local hairdressers.

I must mention that I do love how the can looks - purple with red and black objects arranged in the shape of a love heart - a record, telephone box, umbrella, sunglasses and tea cup to name a few. Cute!

I found that it lingered on me longer than my other Impulse sprays did which was nice.

You can definitely smell the grapefruit.

Not my usual scent, but I did quite like it!

What it smells like to me: Grapefruit, grapes, oranges, the hairdressers, a whiff of vanilla
Where I would wear it: On a rainy day outing in my most stylish winter outfit
Who would wear it: Someone classy and sophisticated who carries an umbrella
Season and time to wear it: Winter during the day (a rainy day!)

I give this product 7 out of 10.

Sorry!

Right, I know this blog may look a little different to when you last visited.
Since I'm new to blogger, I haven't really found out about all the rules, but I expect there's some unwritten rule that you are never to change your blog appearance. Yes, well, I suppose I have just gone and broken that rule. And I'm still not happy with how my blog looks. Agh!

Well, since I only have two followers (shout out to you!) I am going to cross my fingers that they don't mind too much.

Sorry guys!

Hopefully I don't end up changing it yet AGAIN! Still not happy....

Loreal Paris Lipgloss - 6 hr colourstay, Tempting Pink

I tried to make the sparkles show up, but you
know how it is!  Never looks as good in
a photo!
I think this lipgloss should be renamed...
Yes, if you've read my other post, "Very Pink," you would be aware that I am not the best at naming beauty products, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway!

Loreal Paris Lipgloss - 6 hour colourstay in Tempting Pink should be called 'Sparkle Party' or 'Disco ball lips' or 'A thick coating of insane bling for your lips!' Alright, I'll stop for your sake (you shouldn't have to put up with my dodgy naming skills!).

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that this lipgloss is the craziest, sparkliest lipgloss I have ever come across and should have a warning sign plastered all over it, to prevent innocent people from accidentally wearing to formal events (*cough cough*). Yep, I may or may not have done that!

It is a lovely pink colour - not that you notice because you are blinded by blinking lights (otherwise known as sparkles!). It's smooth on the lips and long lasting. I wouldn't call it all that moisturising, actually it feels drying, but it's not too bad.

A very fun lipgloss, but I would recommend wearing it to parties, not important meetings...

I would give this product 7 out of 10.

*Thankyou Nivedita for your comment (I couldn't figure out how to reply back using a comment!) I have added photos to all of my older posts, and will continue doing so from now on! Thanks for the advice!

Ulta 3 Nail Polish - Watermelon

I've posted a review on Ulta 3 Nail Polish before, but I recently bought a new colour so I thought I may as well do another.

I got the colour 'Watermelon'  after much consideration (the lady at the counter was completely sick of me digging around for the right colour) and I am very pleased with my choice.

Like the colour 'Plum Violet' it's lovely and bright and goes on beautifully. It's one of those colours that is good for more than one season - I would wear it during Summer, Autumn or Spring.

It only needs one coat, but for the best look I apply two.

I don't think it's correctly named - it's a peachy, pinky, orangey kind of colour, not at all the colour of a watermelon!

A good indication of the colour - thankyou camera!

I give this product 9 out of 10.

BYS - Liquid Foundation, Nude

The BYS Liquid foundation in Nude is exactly what it says it is - nude!

I don't think it did ANYTHING to my skin, and it certainly didn't act as a good foundation, I couldn't see any visible difference at all.

It didn't even out my skin or reduce redness, it just literally did nothing. It didn't feel greasy although it didn't really soak into my skin either...what an odd product.

Well, I certainly wouldn't recommend it...even though it is dirt cheap and there is nothing bad about it, it's just such a nothing kind of product.

I would give it 2 out of 10.

Chapstick - Strawberry and Ultra SPF 30

Strawberry

The strawberry chapstick is so well known that there probably isn't any point in me doing a review on it, but I'll do one anyway, just for fun.

Well, the smell is fairly good, however it is a tad artificial and when you really get a good whiff it is a little bit to chemical smelling for my liking. The taste is similar, in small doses it's alright however you don't want to sit there licking your lips. It is easily applied to the lips although it can feel a bit thick/waxy. It is slightly tinted, but barely noticeable, in fact, I personally think that it just brought out the colour that I naturally have in my lips. It's moisturising and stays on your lips for a long time.

It's nice and cheap, so it is definitely worth buying. I give it a 9 out of 10.

Ultra SPF 30

The Ultra SPF 30 chapstick has exactly the same texture as the strawberry one - thicker than the ones I usually use but not too thick that you feel gross. I don't think it is supposed to be flavoured, but it almost has a kind of lemony smell and taste to it. It has no colour, but if you put too much on it can look a little whitish on your lips. It is very moisturising and fixes up damaged lips within a few days, however I have come across better lip balm that are equally good at fixing chapped lips.

It would be good for sports our outdoor activities where you don't care much for how you look, rather whether you are going to get burned or not.

I give this lip balm 6 out of 10.
